You’ll play a vital role in building high-performance electro-mechanical assemblies and supporting new product introductions across a dynamic manufacturing floor.
As a Production Assembler / Prototype Wireman, you’ll assemble, wire, and test complex components, ensuring all work meets industry and company standards. From interpreting technical drawings to executing precise wiring tasks, your day-to-day will be varied and hands-on.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and wire mechanical and electrical assemblies from drawings, SOPs, and schematics
- Execute soldering, crimping, harnessing, and prototype cabling work
- Conduct mechanical and electrical testing (e.g., resistance, inductance, flash testing)
- Maintain documentation, meet quality benchmarks, and support new product introductions (NPIs)
- Communicate clearly with internal teams and visitors during floor tours
- Take part in 5S and Continuous Improvement initiatives
Ideal Experience:
- Hands-on assembly experience in an electro-mechanical or NPI environment
- Skilled in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documents
- Excellent soldering and cable routing skills, including mm/AWG wire work
- Comfortable with small-component assembly (e.g., model kits or fine tooling)
- Organised, methodical, and quality-focused
