TPA Recruit Ltd is supporting a specialist manufacturing business in the search for a Production Scheduler. This role will suit an organised planning professional who enjoys working close to manufacturing, sales, engineering and supply chain teams.
Role Overview The Production Scheduler will maintain and support forward-looking production schedules across the product range. The role focuses on order visibility, delivery date coordination, on-time delivery performance and clear communication between commercial, technical and manufacturing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and support forward-looking production schedules for all products.
- Work with Sales on delivery dates and agree dates before order input.
- Coordinate between Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain functions.
- Maximise use of the order management system and ensure order visibility.
- Plan products through manufacturing cells and help maintain on-time delivery performance.
- Identify critical items, capacity issues and scheduling risks, then support resolution.
- Produce and publish planning or delivery metrics as required.
- Provide support for production and purchasing team members during periods of absence.
Experience Required
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Confident decision maker within agreed guidelines.
- Able to work under pressure and meet delivery timeframes.
- Good analytical and numeracy skills.
- Strong systems and Excel knowledge.
- Manufacturing, assembly, ERP planning or order management experience would be highly useful.
- Microsoft Dynamics AX knowledge would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Degree educated or qualified by relevant experience.
