The Role
We are recruiting an Electronics Repairs Technician to join a growing repairs and manufacturing environment based in Lewes.
This is a hands-on role focused on component-level electronics repair, fault-finding, and testing. You will work on electronic assemblies, diagnosing faults, carrying out SMT and through-hole rework, and ensuring repaired units meet defined quality and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electronic assemblies to component level
- SMT and through-hole soldering and rework
- Identify root cause of faults, not just symptoms
- Functional testing of repaired units
- Soak and load testing where required
- Maintain accurate repair and test records
- Work to defined quality, safety, and technical standards
Required Experience
- HNC / HND / OND in Electronics or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years’ electronics repair, test, or manufacturing experience
- Strong analogue and digital electronics knowledge
- Confident reading schematics and circuit diagrams
- Experience using common electronic test equipment
- High attention to detail and methodical working style
Desirable
- IPC certification (IPC-A-610 / J-STD-001)
- SMT rework station experience
- Manufacturing or repairs-centre background
